Chairman of the Health, Human Services and Housing Committee, Abe Uchitelle, and Deputy Chair Craig V. Lopez offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Ulster County Department of Mental Health; and

 

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of the Ulster County Department of Mental Health requests that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature be authorized to execute the State Aid Funding Authorization and any future amendments thereto, for the period beginning January 1, 2025, and ending December 31, 2025, in the amount of $1,157,584, with the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS); and

 

WHEREAS, the state aid funds will be used to support chemical dependency, prevention and recovery services in Ulster County as defined in the State Aid Funding Authorization; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute the State Aid Funding Authorization with OASAS and any future amendments thereto, for the period beginning January 1, 2025 and ending December 31, 2025, in the amount of $1,157,584, to support chemical dependency, prevention and recovery services in Ulster County as defined in the State Aid Funding Authorization, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,

 

and moves its adoption.
