Chairman of the Energy, Environment and Sustainability Committee, Chris Hewitt, and Deputy Chair Richard Walls offer the following:

 

          WHEREAS, pursuant to Section C-25 (A) of the Ulster County Charter and Section A3-4 (A) of the Administrative Code, the County Executive has the power and duty to appoint department heads; and

 

          WHEREAS, pursuant to Section C-124 (A) of the Ulster County Charter and Section A42-1 (A) of the Administrative Code, the County Executive has appointed Andrew Bicking to the position of Director of the Department of Environment; and

 

WHEREAS, further pursuant to Section C-124 (A) of the Ulster County Charter and Section A42-1 (A) of the Administrative Code, the above-referenced appointment is subject to confirmation by the Ulster County Legislature; now, therefore, be it

         

RESOLVED, that the Ulster County Legislature hereby confirms the appointment of Andrew Bicking to the position of Director of the Department of Environment,

 

and moves its adoption.
