Chairwoman of the Economic Development, Planning, Education, Employment, Arts and Agriculture Committee, Megan Sperry, and Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of Ulster County Community College; and

 

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 216 dated May 21, 2019, established Capital Project No. 542 SUNY Ulster - HVAC Upgrades Campuswide in the amount of $200,000.00; and

 

WHEREAS, Resolution No.563, dated December 18, 2019, approved the execution of a contract with S&O Construction Services, Inc. in the amount of $119,450.00 for the replacement of HVAC unit in Burroughs Hall; and

 

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 271, dated August 18, 2020, approved the execution of a contract with T. McElligott, Inc. in the amount of $79,500.00 for the installation of the new HVAC unit in Vanderlyn Hall; and

 

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 218, dated May 18, 2021, approved an increase in funding in the amount of $801,050.00for design and construction services of the Hardenberg Hall HVAC; and

 

WHEREAS, the 2025-2030 Capital Improvement Program included a fiscal year ended December 31, 2025 budget of $10,000,000.00 for SUNY – Site Work Improvements; and

 

WHEREAS, SUNY Ulster has many buildings where HVAC system is either nonexistent, malfunctioning or needs to be an updated due to inefficiencies; and

 

WHEREAS, SUNY Ulster is looking for an assessment and upgrades to install and replace all the HVAC systems in all of the buildings across campus; and

 

 

 

 

WHEREAS, SUNY Ulster BOT Resolution No. 25-01-02 approved an increase in funding to the Capital Project 542 – HVAC Upgrades Campuswide in the amount of $500,000.00 for design and construction services of the next phase of HVAC replacements, including Vanderlyn Hall; and

 

WHEREAS, the $500,000.00 cost for design and construction services of the Vanderlyn Hall Theater and Art Gallery HVAC unit, would be divided as follows: $250,000.00 State and $250,000.00 Ulster County; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 542 HVAC Upgrades Campuswide is hereby amended as follows:

 INCREASE

and, be it further

RESOLVED, that the 2025 Ulster County Capital Fund Budget is hereby amended as follows:
