Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Gina Hansut, Deputy Chair Chris Hewitt, and Legislator Jason J. Kovacs offer the following:

WHEREAS,thisresolutionhasbeensubmittedattherequestoftheCountyExecutiveonbehalfoftheDepartment Of Emergency Communications/Emergency Management;and

WHEREAS, the 2025-2030 Capital Program includes the cost of the acquisition of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) equipment in the amount of $500,000.00; and

WHEREAS, this EMS equipment will be provided to the Ulster County EMS-Agencies to improve the provisions of emergency medical services; and

WHEREAS, the Grant Program provides a structured and equitable funding opportunity for Ulster County-based EMS transporting agencies to enhance patient care; and

WHEREAS, the proposed outcome of the grant program is to increase EMS agencies' capacity to provide higher-quality patient care, improve emergency response capabilities through upgraded medical equipment, solidify training standards for EMS personnel and strengthen the EMS system across Ulster County; and

WHEREAS, the Adopted 2025-2030 Capital Improvement Program includes the amount of $500,000.00 for purchase of the EMS Equipment; now therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the 2025 Ulster County Operating Budget is hereby amended as follows:
