Chair of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Kathy Nolan, and Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Public Works; and

 

WHEREAS, the superstructure of a bridge is a primary structural element for all bridges; and

 

WHEREAS, the approved 2025-2030 Capital Improvement Program includes funding requests for $1,165,500.00 for Bridge Superstructure Program for fiscal year 2025; and

 

WHEREAS the Ulster County Legislature adopted Resolution No. 192 dated April 18, 2023, establishing Capital Project No. 661, for design services in the amount of $65,000.00; and

 

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Commissioner of Public Works requests funds for construction of the Watson Hollow Bridge in the Town of Olive (BIN 3346370), High Falls Bridge in the Town of Denning (BIN 3025130), Coxing Bridge in the Town of Rosendale (BIN 3347040) Saugerties Reservoir Bridge in the Town of Saugerties (BIN 3347790) and Tuttletown Bridge in the Town of Gardiner (BIN 3346640) in the amount of $1,850,000.00 for a total project cost of $1,915,000.00; now, therefore be it  

 

RESOLVED, based upon examination by the Ulster County Legislature, the County’s funding of this Project constitutes a Type II action as defined under Section 2.1 of the County of Ulster’s State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) Type II List, which was adopted pursuant to Resolution No. 118 dated April 20, 2010; and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, Ulster County has determined that this funding action does not pose a significant potential environmental impact and may be progressed as a Type II action in accordance with 6 NYCRR Part 617 of SEQRA, and does not require any further determination or procedure under SEQRA; and, be it further

 

 

RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 661 – Bridge Superstructure Repairs is hereby amended as follows:

and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, that the 2025 Ulster County Capital Fund is hereby amended as follows:
