Chairwoman of the Economic Development, Planning, Education, Employment, Arts and Agriculture Committee, Megan Sperry, and Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III offer the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of SUNY Ulster; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 684, dated December 6, 2023, approved the advancement of capital projects for the Ulster County Community College that were included in the approved 2024-2029 Ulster County Capital Improvement program; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No.131, dated March 16, 2022 established Capital Project No 624 SUNY Ulster - Children’s Center Renovations in the amount of $40,000: and
WHEREAS, the College now determines that it necessary to add additional scopes of work due to the existing conditions of the building, that are outside the original proposal; and
WHEREAS, the $10,000 cost to provide additional architecture and engineering services for the exterior envelope renovations at the Children’s Center in 2024, would be divided as follows: $5,000 State and $5,000 Ulster County; and
WHEREAS, based upon examination by the Ulster County Legislature, the County’s funding of this Project constitutes a Type II action as defined under Section 2.1 of the County of Ulster’s State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) Type II List, which was adopted pursuant to Resolution No. 118 dated April 20, 2010; and
WHEREAS, Ulster County has determined that this funding action does not pose a significant potential environmental impact and may be progressed as a Type II action in accordance with 6 NYCRR Part 617 of SEQRA, and does not require any further determination or procedure under SEQRA; and
WHEREAS, the 2024-2029 Capital Improvement Program included funding of $1,200,000 for the Children’s Center renovations; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 624 is hereby amended as follows:
INCREASE AMOUNT
Capital Project No. 624 Children’s Center Reno. $10,000.00
and, be it further
RESOLVED, that the 2024 Ulster County Capital Fund budget is hereby amended as follows:
INCREASE AMOUNT
