Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Gina Hansut, and Legislator Walls offer the following:
WHEREAS, the 2024 - 2029 adopted Capital Improvement Program includes a project to replace the Oracle Training Trailer, with $100,000.00 anticipated spending for such planned for 2024; and
WHEREAS, the Capital Project will purchase a camper, including necessary accessories to operate the Oracle Training Trailer; and
WHEREAS, this trailer is used at all local events to educate the public on the Opioid Crisis and how to seek help; and
WHEREAS, the current training trailer is old and worn; originally purchased used and in need of replacement; and
WHEREAS, the Ulster County Sheriff has requested the Legislature fund the project in the amount of $45,000.00 for purchase of a camper and necessary up fitting; and
WHEREAS, 70% of opioid settlement funding is intended to be utilized for such purposes; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the 2024-2029 Ulster County Capital Improvement Program is amended as follows:
