Chairwoman of the Economic Development, Planning, Education, Employment, Arts and Agriculture Committee, Megan Sperry, and Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of SUNY Ulster; and

 

WHEREAS, the Resolution No. 259 dated June 19, 2018, authorized the Chair of The Ulster County Legislature to Enter into an agreement with the New York State Dormitory Authority of The State of New York (DASNY) for project management services – Ulster County Community College; and

 

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 368, dated September 20, 2018, established Capital Project No. 493 SUNY Ulster Door Replacement Plan and funded such project in the amount of $306,000.00; and        

 

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 628, dated December 19, 2022, approved an increase in funding in the amount of $280,000.00 for the additional funding needed related to the Capital Project No. 493 SUNY Ulster Door Replacement Plan; and

 

WHEREAS, it is now necessary to fund the installation and construction of the two Vanderyn Hall main entry and vestibule doorways related to the Campus Roofs Capital Project No. 493 - Door Replacement Plan; and

 

WHEREAS, the approved 2024-2029 Capital Improvement Program included the Roof Replacement and Exterior Site Work projects; and

 

WHEREAS, DASNY provided a Work Order 2019-002B that is needed in funding for construction services of the two Vanderlyn Hall main entry and vestibule doorways, related to the Campus Roofs Capital Project No. 493 - Door Replacement; and

 

 

WHEREAS, such Work Order totals $1,068,936.00 (inclusive of DASNY Fee in the amount of $114,002.00) which will be divided as follows: $534,468.00 State and $534,468.00 Ulster County; and

 

WHEREAS, SUNY Ulster Board of Trustees approved the Work Order No. 2019-002B with the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (Capital Project: Door Replacement Project) via resolution #24-08-33; now therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, the Ulster County Legislature hereby approves the Work Order No. 2019-002B with DASNY for the Construction Services of the two Vanderlyn Hall main entry and vestibule doorways, related to the Campus Roofs Capital Project No. 493 - Door Replacement; and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 493 is hereby amended as follows:

and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, that the 2024 Ulster County Capital Fund Budget is hereby amended as follows:
