Chairman of the Health, Human Services and Housing Committee, Abe Uchitelle, and Deputy Chair Craig V. Lopez offer the following:  

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Ulster County Department of Social Services; and

 

WHEREAS, Sections A3-4 (Y) and A2-6(A)(3) of the Administrative Code provide that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature can, upon approval of the County Legislature, enter into an inter-municipal agreement on behalf of the County of Ulster; and

 

WHEREAS, the funds will be used by the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and Child Advocacy Center (CAC) to enhance child protective services, and law enforcement agencies involved in child abuse investigations and the protection of abused and neglected children, and

 

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of the Ulster County Department of Social Services requests that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature be authorized to enter into an Agreement (NYS Contract # T012913), and any amendments thereto, with the New York State Office of Children and Family Services to receive funding in the amount of $49,999.00 for the MDT CAC Program, for the contract period March 1, 2024 through September 30, 2024; and

 

            WHEREAS, no County contribution or matching funding is required; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED,thattheChairofthe UlsterCounty Legislatureishereby authorizedtoexecute an agreement,andanyamendments thereto, with New York State OCFS, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature,or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney; and, be it further

 

 

 

 

 

 

RESOLVED, that the 2024 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as follows:
