Chairman of the Health, Human Services and Housing Committee, Abe Uchitelle, and Deputy Chair Craig V. Lopez offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Ulster County Department of Mental Health; and

 

WHEREAS, New York State’s General Municipal Law Article 5-G, and Section A3-4 (Y) of the Ulster County Administrative Code provide that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature, when supported by a resolution, can enter an inter-municipal agreement on behalf of the County of Ulster; and

 

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Department of Mental Health is requesting that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature be authorized to execute an agreement, and any amendments thereto, with the City of Kingston, to provide law enforcement support for the AVERT and ORACLE programs utilizing Opioid Settlement Regional Abatement Funding through the NYS Office of Addiction and Support Service (OASAS) in the amount of $67,734; now, therefore be it 

 

RESOLVED, the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement, and any amendments thereto, with the City of Kingston, to provide law enforcement support for the AVERT and ORACLE programs utilizing Opioid Settlement Regional Abatement Funding through the NYS Office of Addiction and Support Service (OASAS) in the amount of $67,734 for the term January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2024, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature, or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,         

 

and moves its adoption.
