Chairwoman of the Public Works, Capital Projects and Transportation Committee, Laura Petit, and Deputy Chair Dean J. Fabiano offer the following:

          WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Public Works; and

WHEREAS, the present lease agreement between the County and Astor Services for Children & Families, 6339 Mill Street Rhinebeck, NY 12572, for offices located at 239 Golden Hill Drive, Kingston, NY 12401 (the “Premises”) will expire on December 4, 2023; and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works has requested the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature to enter into a lease agreement with Astor Services for Children & Families to lease 2,080 square feet of office space, for a five-year term beginning December 5, 2023 and ending December 4, 2028, at a cost of $12.00/square foot, totaling $24,960.00 annually, with all utilities and taxes included; and

WHEREAS, the County of Ulster shall have the option to terminate the lease for any reason or for no reason, upon sixty (60) days written notice; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Chair Of The Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute a lease agreement and any amendments thereto, with Astor Services for Children & Families, 6339 Mill Street Rhinebeck, NY 12572, for offices located at 239 Golden Hill Drive, Kingston, NY 12401, for a five-year term beginning December 5, 2023 and ending December 4, 2028, at a cost of $12.00/square foot, totaling $24,960.00 annually, with all utilities and taxes included, as filed with the Clerk of the Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,

and move its adoption.
