Chairman of the ARPA Special Committee, Peter J. Criswell, and Deputy Chair Thomas Corcoran, Jr. offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Finance, Division of Recovery and Resilience; and

 

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature passed Resolution No. 289 of 2022 establishing and funding capital project No. 635 in the amount of two million dollars ($2,000,000) to create a program to partner with Ulster County municipalities and match up to 50% of park and recreation projects with a maximum contribution of $100,000 per municipality; and

 

WHEREAS, the County and the Town of Olive (the “Town”) desire to enter into an Intermunicipal Agreement (IMA) where the Town will be a subrecipient of Seventeen Thousand Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($17,250.00) of American Rescue Plan Act – Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF); and

 

WHEREAS the Town will be responsible under the IMA for administering a program to replace and install new fencing at Davis Park; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute the Inter Municipal Agreement with the Town of Olive to partially fund the fencing replacement at Davis Park in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,

 

and move its adoption.
