Chairman of the Health, Human Services and Housing Committee, Abe Uchitelle, and Deputy Chair Craig V. Lopez offer the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Ulster County Department of Social Services; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Social Services has received notification from the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) of the availability of additional federal funds through the state’s allocation of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021: Grants to Enhance Adult Protective Services administered by the Administration for Community Living (ACL); and
WHEREAS, the County will use the funds to enhance, improve, and expand the ability of APS to investigate allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of vulnerable adults; and
WHEREAS, in order to reflect the increased funding, an amendment of the 2023 budget is necessary; and
WHEREAS, no County contribution or matching funding is required; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the 2023 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as follows:
INCREASE AMOUNT
AA. 6010.2614-4300.4505 Professional Services Other Fees $15,000.00
