Chairwoman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Laura Petit, and Deputy Chair Dean J. Fabiano offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 49, dated February 19, 2013, the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature was authorized to execute a revocable license agreement (the “License Agreement”) with the Ulster County Agricultural Society, Inc. (the “Agricultural Society”) for use of a portion of premises owned by the County of Ulster (the “County”) situated on Libertyville Road, New Paltz, New York, commonly known as the Ulster County Fairgrounds; and

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 434, dated November 14, 2017, the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature was authorized to amend the License Agreement to extend the term for an additional one-year period ending December 31, 2018; and 

 

WHEREAS, the existing License Agreement covers the period January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018; and

 

WHEREAS, the County and the Agricultural Society have negotiated an amendment to extend the term of the License Agreement for an additional one-year period, ending December 31, 2019; and

 

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Agricultural Society shall continue to pay the County of Ulster the amount calculated pursuant to paragraph 6 of the License Agreement; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute an amendment to the License Agreement granting the Agricultural Society the use of the Ulster County Fairgrounds for an additional one (1) year, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature, or as modified by the County Attorney,

 

and move its adoption.
