Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Lynn Eckert, and Deputy Chair Kenneth Ronk, Jr. offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the Ulster County Sheriff; and

 

            WHEREAS, the New York State Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee (the “Committee”) has awarded the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office a total of $11,275.00 to participate in the statewide Police Traffic Services Program; and

 

WHEREAS, such funding will be used to offset funds used to pay officers’ overtime spent, up to the amount of $11,275.00; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement and any related amendments with the Committee for Ulster County’s participation in the Police Traffic Services Program, for the period beginning October 1, 2019 and ending September 30, 2020, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney, in consultation with Counsel to the County Legislature, Chair of the County Legislature, and the Chair and Deputy Chair of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee,

 

and move its adoption.
