Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Lynn Eckert, and Deputy Chair Kenneth Ronk, Jr. offer the following:

 

            WHEREAS,pursuanttoSectionC-120(A)oftheUlsterCountyCharterand SectionA 40-3ofthe Administrative Code: 

 

Traffic Safety Board.

 

A.    ThereshallbeaTrafficSafetyBoardwhichshallexerciseallpowersandduties setforthinArticle43ofVehicleandTrafficLawandheretoforeorhereafter lawfullygrantedorimposedbytheCharter,locallaw,resolutionoftheCounty Legislature, or by applicable lawnot inconsistent with the Charter.

TheTrafficSafetyBoardshallconsistof12personsappointedfortermsof threeyearsbytheCountyExecutive,subjecttotheconfirmationoftheCounty Legislature,exceptthatfourmemberswillbeinitiallyappointedtoatermof oneyearandfourmemberstoatermoftwoyears.Membersshallberesidents ofandqualifiedelectorsintheCounty.Atleastonebutnotmorethanthree membersshallberesident(s)intheCityofKingston.TheTrafficSafetyBoard shallelectannuallyaChairman,ViceChairman,andaSecretaryfromits membersasprovidedinArticle43 ofthe VehicleandTraffic Law.  The Coordinator of Traffic Safety shall serve on the Traffic Safety Board ex officio;”

WHEREAS,theCountyExecutivehas reappointedthefollowingindividualto the Traffic Safety Board:

RESOLVED,thattheUlsterCountyLegislatureconfirmsthe reappointmentof theabovelistedindividualasamembertotheTrafficSafetyBoardforthetermas indicated above,
