Chairwoman of the Ways and Means Committee, Lynn Archer, and Deputy Chair Richard A. Gerentine offer the following:
WHEREAS, the County Labor Attorney William Wallens and members of the Executive Staff have negotiated a Memorandum of Agreement (the “MOA”) covering the period beginning January 1, 2019 and ending December 31, 2020 with the Ulster County Staff Association, represented by New York State United Teachers (NYSUT), and recommend the agreement to the Ulster County Legislature; and
WHEREAS, the MOA provides for a 2% increase in base salary on January 1, 2019, a 2% increase in base salary on January 1, 2020, and no increase in longevity payments; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Ulster County Legislature hereby approves the executed MOA covering the period beginning January 1, 2019 and ending December 31, 2020, between the County of Ulster and the Ulster County Staff Employee’s Association; and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Acting County Executive is hereby authorized to execute a Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Ulster County Staff Association in accordance with the executed MOA; and be it further
RESOLVED, that the 2019 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended pursuant to the schedule on file with the Clerk of the Legislature; and be it further
RESOLVED, the Commissioner of Finance is hereby authorized to make any and all 2019 budget adjustments necessary to transfer and appropriate the necessary funds into the appropriate budget lines,
and move its adoption.
