Committee (Chairman Gerentine and Legislators Archer, Bartels, Lopez, Maio,

James Maloney, Joseph Maloney, and Petit)

Chairman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Dean J. Fabiano, and

Deputy Chair Manna Jo Greene offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Department of Public Works – (Highways & Bridges); and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works has been notified by the New

York State Department of Transportation of a decrease in CHIPS funding for Ulster

County Highway Capital Improvements in the amount of $1,722 for the State fiscal

year 2018-2019; and

 WHEREAS, there exists a 2017 CHIPS budget balance of $362,511 to be

rolled over into the 2018 Budget; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to adjust the Budget to reflect the net difference of

the rollover balance and State decrease in funding; and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works requests the 2018 CHIPS

appropriations and revenues be increased by $360,789 ($362,511 rollover minus

$1,722 decrease); now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the 2018 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as

follows:

 INCREASE AMOUNT

DD.5112.5112.4100.4125 CHIPS Expenditures $360,789
