Chairman of the Legislative Programs, Education and Community Services

Committee, Mary Wawro, and Deputy Chairman David B. Donaldson offer the

following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Ulster County Community College; and

 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 46 dated January 26, 2016 (hereinafter the

“Resolution”) established Capital Project Number 464 – The Pfeiffer Center for

Business Innovation And Technology in the amount of $1,407,441.00 for renovations

to SUNY Ulster’s Stone Ridge Campus and the Ulster County Business Resource

Center (BRC); and

 WHEREAS, upon further review of the scope of the project, it has been

determined that the entire project can be accommodated on the College’s Stone

Ridge Campus; and

WHEREAS, as the local sponsor, Ulster County is responsible only for the

construction related component of this project; and

WHEREAS, the Resolution is being amended to reduce and accurately reflect

the cost of the project relating to the construction component of said project; and

WHEREAS, approximately $492,568 is related to the construction component

of this project, and $50,599.00 is related to professional architectural services; and

WHEREAS, SUNY Ulster has secured funding from multiple sources for this

project to cover all costs associated with such project, resulting in no County share

related to such project; and 

 

WHEREAS, Ulster County, as the local sponsor is a co-signatory on a portion

of funding related to this project – SUNY 2020 funding; and

WHEREAS, this funding will be used to renovate the Hardenburgh Science

Lab on the Stone Ridge Campus to accommodate the Pfeiffer Technology and

Innovation Lab; and; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 464 is hereby amended as follows:

and, be it further

RESOLVED, that the 2017 Capital Fund Budget is hereby amended as

follows:
