Chairman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Dean J. Fabiano, and

Deputy Chairman Peter M. Loughran offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Department of Public Works; and

WHEREAS, the 2017-2022 Capital Improvement Program included funding

of $1,075,000 for the Rehabilitation of the Wallkill Bridge; and

WHEREAS, Capital Project No. 439 – Wallkill Bridge was established

pursuant to Resolution No. 56, dated February 17, 2015 in an amount of $950,000

and was amended pursuant to Resolution No. 244 dated April 19, 2016 to increase

such funding by $125,000 due to an increase in the scope of work for the design

phase of the project, resulting in a total project cost of $1,075,000; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 213 dated May 16, 2017 such project

was amended to increase such funded by an additional $1,150,000 due to an

expanded scope of work to include load rating of the existing structure, relocation of

a water line, upgrades of the sidewalk to meet ADA standards and widening of the

lane widths to meet current criteria resulting in a total project cost of $2,225,000; and

WHEREAS, unanticipated field conditions have impacted the overall

construction duration requiring an estimated increase of $51,000 to construction and

construction inspection costs resulting in a total project cost of $2,276,000; and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works requests that the 2017-2022

Capital Improvement Program-Wallkill Bridge be amended to reflect a change in

cost from $2,225,000 to $2,276,000, an increase of $51,000; now, therefore be it

 RESOLVED, that the 2017-2022 Ulster County Capital Improvement

Program is hereby amended to increase the cost of the Capital Project No. 439-

Wallkill Bridge from $2,225,000 to $2,276,000 an increase of $51,000, and, be it

further 

 

RESOLVED, that the 2017 Ulster County Capital Fund Budget, is hereby

amended as follows:
