Chairman of The Special Committee to Oversee the Ulster County Family Court

Relocation, Herbert Litts, III, and Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee,

Richard A. Gerentine, offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive’s

Office on behalf of the Department of Public Works – Buildings and Grounds; and

WHEREAS, a project to renovate the existing space at the Development Court

Complex, also known as the Business Resource Center (BRC) to accommodate the

needs of Family Court in accordance with mandated requirements of New York State

Law and New York State Office of Court Administration; and

WHEREAS, this project was included in the 2017-2022 Capital Improvement

Program in the amount of $10,797,855; and

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 6 dated January 10, 2017 established such project

in the amount of $1,260,000.00 for the purposes of design and construction

management, and Resolution No. 263 dated June 20, 2017 amended such project in

an amount of $22,500.00 to conduct a project labor agreement analysis resulting in a

total project cost of $1,282,500.00; and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works requests funds to advance

this project to the general construction phase; and

WHEREAS, based upon examination by the Ulster County Legislature, the

County’s funding of this Project constitutes a Type II action as defined under

Sections 2.2 of the County of Ulster’s State Environmental Quality Review Act

(SEQRA) Type II List, which was adopted pursuant to Resolution No. 118 dated

April 20, 2010; and

WHEREAS, Ulster County has determined that this funding action does not

pose a significant potential environmental impact and may be progressed as a Type II

action in accordance with 6 NYCRR Part 617 of SEQRA, and does not require any

further determination or procedure under SEQRA; now, therefore, be it 

 

RESOLVED, the 2017-2022 Ulster County Capital Fund Budget is hereby

amended as follows:

INCREASE AMOUNT

HH.1997.0494-2300.2550 Other Equipment and $7,963,910.00

Capital Outlays Construction

HH.1997.0494-3500.5710 Serial Bond Proceeds $7,963,910.00
