Committee (Chairman Gerentine and Legislators Allen, Bartels, Belfiglio, Briggs,

Maio, and Maloney)

Chairman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Thomas J. Briggs,

and Deputy Chairman Ronald G. Lapp, Jr. offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Sheriff is requesting that $31,000.00 in funds

be appropriated from URGENT Forfeitures Reserves to increase appropriations of

$31,000.00 for the URGENT vehicles line AA.3989.1907.2100.2140; and

WHEREAS, these funds have been received as proceeds from URGENT cases

only and do not include any County dollars; and

WHEREAS, funds for vehicles will provide the URGENT division with better

equipped vehicles and are only be used for the benefit of investigating drug and gang

criminal cases; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the year 2017 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as

follows:

INCREASE AMOUNT

AA.3989.1907.2100.2140 Vehicles $31,000.00

DECREASE AMOUNT

AA-0890-5813 Forfeiture of Crime Proceeds $31,000.00

and move its adoption.
