Legislators Mary Beth Maio, Hector Rodriguez, and Kenneth Ronk offer the

following:

WHEREAS, County Law Section 214 requires the County Legislature to

designate newspapers for official publications; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that pursuant to Subdivision 1 of County Law Section 214, the

following newspapers are hereby designated as official Newspapers for concurrent

resolutions, Election Notices issued by the Secretary of State, and the Official

Canvass, and additionally utilized as the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature may

deem necessary from time to time:

DEMOCRATIC: Daily Freeman

79 Hurley Avenue

Kingston, New York 12401

REPUBLICAN: Southern Ulster Times

300 Stony Brook Court

Newburgh, NY 12550

and be it further,

RESOLVED, that pursuant to Subdivision 2 of County Law Section 214, the

following newspapers are designated as the official Newspapers of the County of

Ulster for the publication of all local laws, notices and other matters required by law

to be published:

DEMOCRATIC: Ulster Publishing

(includes five separate editions in the “Almanac” section)

PO Box 3329

 Kingston, New York 12402

REPUBLICAN: Shawangunk Journal

 P.O. Box 669

 Ellenville, NY 12428

and move its adoption.
