Chairman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Thomas J. Briggs,

and Deputy Chairman Ronald G. Lapp, Jr. offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Department of Emergency Management; and

WHEREAS, the approved 2016 – 2021 Capital Improvement Program

includes a project “Countywide Radio System” in the amount of $19,840,000.00 to

achieve interoperability for radio coverage for the police, fire and EMS agencies; and

WHEREAS, this project included $276,000.00 to upgrade to the common 911

Police Frequency and $144,000.00 related to upgrades to the current simulcast

system in 2016; now therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 482, Countywide Radio System is

hereby established as follows:

Capital Project No. 482 Countywide Radio System

Emergency Management

and be it further;

RESOLVED, that the 2016 Ulster County Capital Fund is hereby amended as

follows:

 INCREASE AMOUNT

HH.3097.0481-2300.2320 Other Equipment & $279,325.00

Capital Outlays Building Equipment

HH.3097.0481-4300.4355 Professional Services Engineering $140,675.00

and moves its adoption.
