Chairman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Dean J. Fabiano, and

Deputy Chairman Peter M. Loughran offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Department of Public Works; and

WHEREAS, the approved 2016 – 2021 Capital Improvement Program

includes a project “Reconstruction of Various Parking Lots” in the amount of

$91,130.00; and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works has prepared a list for year

2016 which includes the Ulster County Courthouse parking lot; and

WHEREAS, the project will repave the Ulster County Courthouse parking lot

in 2016 with improvements to the underground storm sewer systems; and

WHEREAS, the alleyway adjacent to the Courthouse parking lot has been

included in the project to improve drainage; and

WHEREAS, the additional construction costs are estimated to be $58,870.00;

and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works requests that the 2016 – 2021

Capital Program be amended to reflect a change in construction costs for the

Reconstruction of Various Parking Lots in the amount of $150,000.00, an increase of

$91,130.00; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Department of Public Works intends to

contract with outside contractors for the Reconstruction of Various Parking Lots;

now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that based upon examination by the Ulster County Legislature,

the County’s funding of this Project constitutes a Type II action as defined under

Sections 4.5.6 of the County of Ulster’s State Environmental Quality Review Act

(SEQRA) Type II List, which was adopted pursuant to Resolution No. 118 dated

April 20, 2010; and, be it further 

 

RESOLVED, that Ulster County has determined that this funding action does

not pose a significant potential environmental impact and may be progressed as a

Type II action in accordance with 6 NYCRR Part 617 of SEQRA, and does not

require any further determination or procedure under SEQRA; and, be it further

RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 474 Reconstruction of Various Parking

Lots is hereby established as follows:

and, be it further

 RESOLVED, that the 2016 Capital Fund Budget is hereby amended as

follows:

 INCREASE AMOUNT

HH.5197.0474-2300.2550 Capital Project No. 474 $150,000.00
