Chairman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Dean J. Fabiano, and

Deputy Chairman Peter M. Loughran offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Department of Public Works (Highway and Bridges); and

WHEREAS, Ulster County has been awarded a grant in the amount of

$60,000.00 from the Ashokan Watershed Stream Management Program (the

“Grant”), which Grant will be processed pursuant to a contract between the County

of Ulster and Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE); and

WHEREAS, said contract with CCE (2015-00000403) was approved by the

Legislature pursuant to Resolution No. 431, dated November 17, 2015; and

WHEREAS, said contract provides for material purchases and equipment

rental costs including, but not limited to a pre-cast concrete box culvert and costs

associated with installation of the culvert replacement on Watson Hollow Road

(County Road 139) over Mine Hollow in the Town of Olive; and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works is requesting that the 2016

Ulster County Budget be amended to accept the Grant and appropriate the funds to

the County Road Maintenance Fund – Road/Highway/Bridge Materials account;

now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the 2016 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as

follows:

INCREASE AMOUNT

DD.5110.5110-3200.2300 Intergovernmental Charges

(Rev. #) Transportation Services $60,000.00

DD.5110.5110-4100.4100 Road/Highway Materials $60,000.00

and move its adoption.
