Chairman of the Energy and Environment Committee, Peter M. Loughran, and

Deputy Chairman Kenneth Ronk offer the following:

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 11-501 of the Environmental Conservation

Law (ECL) of the State of New York each County within the State is authorized to

appoint three members to serve on a Regional Fish and Wildlife Management Board;

and

WHEREAS, one appointee must be a member of the County Legislature, one

member must represent the landowners of the County and one member must

represent the sportsmen of the County; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to ECL section 11-501(4) the appointments are made by

the County Executive with the approval of the County Legislature; and

WHEREAS, the County Executive has re-appointed the following individual

to the Fish and Wildlife Management Board as the Legislative Representative:

Thomas J. (TJ) Briggs Term: January 1, 2016

now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Ulster County Legislature hereby confirms the reappointment of Thomas J. Briggs to the Fish and Wildlife Management Board,

and move its adoption.
