Chairwoman of the Economic Development, Planning, Education, Employment, Arts and Agriculture Committee, Megan Sperry, Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III, and Legislator Stewart offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Economic Development; and

 

WHEREAS, the County, by and through its Department of Economic Development, desires to extend an agreement for entrepreneur and business expansion support services; and

 

WHEREAS, the County solicited, through RFP No. 2022-080, proposals for entrepreneur and business expansion support services and selected the Venture Hub at SUNY New Paltz; and

 

WHEREAS, the County agreed to engage the Firm and the Firm has agreed to contract with the County, to provide entrepreneurial and business expansion support services pursuant to RFP No. 2022-080; and

 

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature through Resolution 285 of 2023 authorized the County to enter into an intermunicipal agreement with SUNY New Paltz for one year, with the option to continue via two (2) one-year extensions; now therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, the Chair of the Legislature is hereby authorized to amend an intermunicipal agreement with the Venture Hub at SUNY New Paltz for one year, and any amendments hereto, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,     

 

and moves its adoption.
