Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Gina Hansut, and Deputy Chair Chris Hewitt offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the Ulster County Executive on behalf of the Department of Emergency Services; and 

 

WHEREAS, the County of Ulster has an established Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) managed through the Ulster County Department of Emergency Services and Department of Health; and

 

WHEREAS, the purpose of this program will enhance emergency preparedness, healthcare response, and community resilience in times of crisis; and

 

WHEREAS, grant funding has been made available to support the efforts of the Ulster County MRC in fulfilling its mission to safeguard public health and safety; and

 

WHEREAS, grant funds totaling the amount of $12,100.00 are available from the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and Office of Health Emergency Preparedness (OHEP); now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the 2024 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as follows;

           INCREASE                                       AMOUNT

AA. 3020.1800.3300.3389             State Aid Other Public Safety         $12,100.00 (Rev. #) 

AA. 3020.1800.4000.4040             Supplies Program                             $12,100.00 (App. #),

and, be it further

 

 

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Legislature is hereby authorized to execute an agreement, and any amendments thereto, with New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and Office of Health Emergency Preparedness (OHEP), in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature, or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,          

 

and moves its adoption.
