Chairman of the Economic Development, Tourism, Housing, Planning, and Transit Committee, Brian B. Cahill, and Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III offer the following:

WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections C-25 (A) of the Ulster County Charter and Section A3-4 (A) of the Administrative Code, the County Executive has the power and duty to appoint department heads; and

            WHEREAS, pursuant to Section C-75 of the Ulster County Charter and Section A17-1 of the Administrative Code, the County Executive has appointed                                                      Lisa M. Berger to the position of Director of Economic Development; and

WHEREAS, further pursuant to Sections C-75 of the Ulster County Charter and Sections A17-1 of the Administrative Code, the above-referenced appointment is subject to confirmation by the Ulster County Legislature; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Ulster County Legislature hereby confirms the appointment of Lisa M. Berger to the position of Director of Economic Development,

and moves its adoption.
