Referred to: The Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee (Chairman Briggs
and Legislators Fabiano, Provenzano, Ronk, and Wishnick)
Chairman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Thomas J. Briggs,
and Deputy Chairman Kenneth J. Ronk offer the following:
WHEREAS, the Town of New Paltz Police commission approved the
donation of a vehicle to the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team
(“URGENT”) for use as an unmarked vehicle on April 16, 2015; and
WHEREAS, the Ulster County Sheriff is requesting that the donation of said
vehicle from the Town of New Paltz be approved by the Ulster County Legislature;
now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the County of Ulster, by and through the Ulster County
Sheriff, is hereby authorized to accept a donation of a vehicle from the Town of New
Paltz for use as an unmarked vehicle by URGENT,
and move its adoption.
