Committee (Chairman Gerentine and Legislators Bartels, Belfiglio, Briggs, Maio,

Maloney, Provenzano and Rodriguez)

Chairman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Dean J. Fabiano, and

Deputy Chairman Peter M. Loughran offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Department of Public Works; and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works has prepared the 2014 Bridge

Replacement/Reconstruction Program; and

WHEREAS, after a review of inventory and prioritizing needs for the Various

County Bridges Program, the Commissioner of Public Works requests that

$280,000.00 be utilized from the current year’s Capital Plan; and

WHEREAS, the approved 2014– 2019 Capital Plan includes the amount of

$1,100,000.00 for the Various County Bridge Program; and

WHEREAS, the balance ($820,000.00) of the 2014 Capital Plan allocation for

this Project shall be reserved for future needs ($1,100,000.00 less $280,000.00 =

$820,000.00); and

WHEREAS, it is now necessary to establish two capital projects and request

funding to replace/reconstruct various county owned bridges and box culverts; and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner requests that the following capital projects be

established:

Capital Project No. 411 West Saugerties-Woodstock Road

Short Span Bridge #1

Town of Woodstock $140,000.00

Capital Project No. 412 West Saugerties-Woodstock Road

Short Span Bridge #2

Town of Woodstock $140,000.00

Bridge #2” are hereby established; and, be it further

RESOLVED, that the 2014 Capital Fund Budget is hereby amended as

follows:
