Chairman of the Laws and Rules, Governmental Services Committee, Richard. A.

Parete, and Deputy Chairman Kevin A. Roberts offer the following:

WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections C-25 (A) of the Ulster County Charter and

Section A3-4 (A) of the Administrative Code, the County Executive has the power

and duty to appoint department heads; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section C-127 of the Ulster County Charter and

Section A44-1 of the Administrative Code, the County Executive has appointed

Dorraine Whitney to the position Insurance Officer for Ulster County; and

WHEREAS, further pursuant to Sections C-127 of the Ulster County Charter

and Sections A44-1 of the Administrative Code, the above-referenced appointment is

subject to confirmation by the Ulster County Legislature; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Ulster County Legislature hereby confirms the

appointment of Dorraine Whitney to the position of Insurance Officer for Ulster

County,

and move its adoption.
