Referred to: The Ways and Means Committee (Chairman Gerentine and Legislators
Bartels, Belfiglio, Briggs, Maio, Maloney, Provenzano and Rodriguez)
Legislators David B. Donaldson and Kenneth Ronk Jr. offer the following:
WHEREAS, Section C-11(F) of the Ulster County Charter states that it is the
Legislature’s responsibility to fix the number of hours constituting a legal day's work
(hereinafter referred to as “basic/standard work week”) for all classes of County
employees; and
WHEREAS, the Clerk of the Legislature has requested that the basic/standard
work week of the regular pay positions in the Clerk of the Legislative Board be
deemed 37.5 hours; and
WHEREAS, establishing this basic/standard work week does not require a
modification of the 2014 Ulster County budget; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, the Ulster County Legislature hereby establishes the
basic/standard work week of the regular pay positions in the Clerk of the Legislative
Board to be 37.5 hours,
and move its adoption.
