Committee (Chairman Gerentine and Legislators Bartels, Briggs, Belfiglio, Maio,
Maloney, Provenzano and Rodriguez)
Chairman of the Legislative Programs, Education and Community Services
Committee, David B. Donaldson, and Deputy Chairman Mary Wawro offer the
following:
WHEREAS, this Resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on
behalf of Ulster County Community College; and
WHEREAS, the College previously held formal receptions, fundraising
events, special functions and meetings at the President’s Residence; and
WHEREAS, the President’s Residence has now been sold; and
WHEREAS, a new space is needed to host the aforementioned various events;
and
WHEREAS, the Kelder Center is currently vacant and used for storage but
would provide a suitable space once renovated; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees approved Resolution #13-8-84 approving
the establishment of a Capital Project in the amount of $383,258.00, to repair and
renovate the Kelder Center (house and an addition) for the purposes indicated above;
and
WHEREAS, the

Ulster County Community College
WHEREAS, as per section 3 of the County’s Type II List, this action does not
pose a significant potential environmental impact and may be progressed as a Type II
action in accordance with 6 NYCRR Part 617 of SEQRA; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 405- SUNY Ulster Renovation of the
Kelder Center is hereby established and the 2014-2019 Capital Program is hereby
amended as follows:

Capital Project No. 405 SUNY Ulster Renovation of Kelder Center
$383,258.00
and, be it further
RESOLVED, that the Capital Fund is hereby amended as follows:
INCREASE AMOUNT
H4-0405-2962 Engineering Services $ 36,820.00
H4-0405-2930 Building Equipment (Building $ 48,788.00
Systems)
H4-0405-2911 Construction $297,650.00
