Chairman of the Legislative Programs, Education and Community Services

Committee, David B. Donaldson, and Deputy Chairman Mary Wawro offer the

following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Veterans’ Service Agency; and

WHEREAS, Ulster County continues to administer to the needs of Veterans

living in Ulster County by coordinating services, providing referrals to other agencies

and providing advice and assistance; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature desires to meet the needs of all

Ulster County Veterans and providing additional personnel to the Veterans’ Service

Agency will aid in that goal; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Administrative Code §A25-2 provides for a

Deputy Director of the Veterans’ Service Agency; and

WHEREAS, the 2014 Ulster County Personnel Listing does not contain the

position of Deputy Director of the Veterans’ Service Agency; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Personnel Officer has reviewed the request

and has by order and determination, deemed the classification of Deputy Director of

the Veterans’ Service Agency (management) and allocates as such to the noncompetitive class of the classified civil service; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the 2014 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as

follows:

6510-1002 Deputy Director Veterans’ $41,528.00*

*Annual Salary

Annual Benefits $24,916.00

(Effective September 1, 2014)

(Salary to year end $14,002.00)
