Committee (Chairman Gerentine and Legislators Bartels, Belfiglio, Briggs, Maio,

Maloney, Provenzano and Rodriguez)

Chairman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Dean J. Fabiano, and

Deputy Chairman Peter M. Loughran offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Department of Public Works; and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works has prepared a list of various

repairs needed to the County pool located in New Paltz; and

WHEREAS, the project expenditures in the amount of $425,000.00 were

approved in the 2014 – 2019 Capital Program; and

WHEREAS, the project will provide necessary pool repairs to stop water loss,

eliminate tripping hazards and bring the domestic and pool water systems up to

current code; and

WHEREAS, recent extreme weather conditions accelerated deterioration of

the pool’s marcite lining, creating an increase in construction costs; and

WHEREAS, the additional construction costs are estimated to be $75,000.00;

and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works requests that the 2014-2019

Capital Program be amended to reflect a change in cost from $425,000.00 to

$500,000.00 for the New Paltz Pool Repairs; and

 WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works requests that Capital Project

No. 414 be established for New Paltz Pool Repairs; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 414 - New Paltz Pool Repairs, is hereby

established and is funded in the amount of $500,000.00; and, be it further
