Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, Richard A. Gerentine, and Deputy

Chairman Tracey A. Bartels offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Department of Finance; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Commissioner of Finance has requested

permission to refund the purchase price and deed recording fee for a parcel of real

property that was acquired by the County by reason of nonpayment of taxes and

which was subsequently sold at a public auction pursuant to Resolution No. 188 of

June 12th, 2003; and

WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Real Property Tax Service Agency

that the property known as tax map number 14.13-2-28 in the Town of Shandaken, is

double assessed and does not exist; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Ulster County Commissioner of Finance is authorized

to refund payment as follows:

RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the Legislature and Ulster County

Commissioner of Finance are authorized and empowered to take such measures as

required by law to refund the purchase price, deed recording fee and all subsequent

taxes paid of this parcel with respect thereto,

and move its adoption.
