Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Gina Hansut, and Deputy Chair Chris Hewitt offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on behalf of the Ulster County Department Of Emergency Communications/Emergency Management; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Emergency Services has received notification from the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services regarding the 2024 Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) Operations Grant; and

WHEREAS, the County Executive and the Director of Emergency Services requests that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature be authorized to enter into an agreement, and any amendments thereto, with the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services for the contract period from January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2025, in the amount of $151,993.00; and

WHEREAS, the purpose of this program is to sustain ongoing operations and improvements of public safety answering points; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute an Agreement, and any amendments thereto, with the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services for participation in the 2024 Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) Operations Grant, in the amount of $151,993.00, as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney; and, be it further

RESOLVED, the 2025 Ulster County Operating Budget is hereby amended as follows;
