Chairwoman of the Economic Development, Planning, Education, Employment, Arts and Agriculture Committee, Megan Sperry, and Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Economic Development; and

 

WHEREAS, the County, by and through its Department of Economic Development, desires to extend an agreement for entrepreneur and business expansion support services; and

 

WHEREAS, the County solicited, through RFP No. 2022-080, proposals for entrepreneur and business expansion support services and the Venture Hub at SUNY New Paltz was a successful proposer; and

 

WHEREAS, the County agreed to engage the Venture Hub at SUNY New Paltz, who has agreed to contract with the County to provide entrepreneur and business expansion support services pursuant to RFP No. 2022-080; and

 

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature through Resolution 285 of 2023 authorized the County to enter into a intermunicipal agreement with SUNY New Paltz for one year, with the option to continue via two (2) one-year extensions; now therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, the Chair of the Legislature is hereby authorized execute an amendment to an intermunicipal agreement with the Venture Hub at SUNY New Paltz for one year, with the option to one (1) additional one-year extensions, and any amendments hereto, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,

 

and moves its adoption.
