Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Gina Hansut, and Deputy Chair Chris Hewitt offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the Ulster County Executive on behalf of the Department of Emergency Services; and

 

WHEREAS, the Counties of Ulster, Rockland, Orange and Sullivan all operate Emergency Services departments; and

 

WHEREAS, each County is a member of the Upper Hudson Valley Regional HazMat Team (“Regional HazMat Team”); and

 

WHEREAS, as a participant in the proposed regional partnership, Ulster County will receive training valued at $13,000.00; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute an agreement for FY 2023, and any amendments thereto, with the Counties of Rockland, Orange and Sullivan to form a regional partnership for Fire/Emergency Services, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature, or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,     

 

and moves its adoption.
