Chairwoman of the Economic Development, Planning, Education, Employment, Arts and Agriculture Committee, Megan Sperry, and Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III offer the following:

WHEREAS, this Resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Ulster County Office of Employment and Training; and

WHEREAS, the New York State Office of Temporary Assistance and Disability (OTDA) has notified Ulster County Office of Employment and Training that funding for 2024 for the year-round Youth Employment Program (YEP) is $900,500.00; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County’s year-round Youth Employment Program (YEP) helps young people from low-income households gain valuable work experience during the school year and a significant wage; and

WHEREAS, 100% of the youth’s wages are paid by United Way through a contract with the County using federal funds for the school year work experience internship; and

WHEREAS, no County contribution or matching funding is required; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the 2024 Ulster County Operating Budget is hereby amended as follows:
