Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, Richard A. Gerentine, and Deputy

Chairman Donald J. Gregorius offer the following:

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Clerk has requested that the Chairman of the

Ulster County Legislature be authorized to enter into an agreement to provide

micrographics and microfilm processing and duplication services to Albany County;

and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Clerk’s Records Management Division has a

Micrographics Department which is capable of creating, processing, and duplicating

microfilm rolls; and

WHEREAS, the Albany County Clerk’s Office has a need for such services

which are not available through their County; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Clerk’s Office is willing and able to perform

the work required by Albany County for the creation, processing, and duplication of

microfilm rolls; and

WHEREAS, Albany County will pay Ulster County $0.0351 per image to

create, process and deliver an original film roll with an additional $9.25 to create,

process, and deliver each Diazo duplicate of said film roll for micrographics services;

and

WHEREAS, Albany County will pay Ulster County $7.31 for processing and

duplication of each 16mm microfilm roll and an additional $7.13 for processing and

duplication of each Diazo duplicate of said 16mm microfilm roll for microfilm

processing and duplication; and

WHEREAS, Albany County will pay Ulster County $11.68 for processing and

duplication of each 35mm microfilm roll and an additional $8.43 for processing and

duplication of each Diazo duplicate of said 35mm microfilm roll for microfilm

processing and duplication; and

 

WHEREAS, Ulster County will invoice Albany County quarterly and the

maximum amount to be paid by Albany County to Ulster County for all services

under the agreement shall not exceed $22,500.00 per year, and the total paid over the

two-year term of the Agreement will not exceed $45,000.00 as specified in

Resolution No. 409 of 2014 by the Albany County Legislature; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby

authorized to execute an agreement with Albany County, and any amendments

thereto, for micrographics and for microfilm processing and duplication services,

and move its adoption.
