Referred to: The Laws and Rules, Governmental Services Committee (Chairman
Richard Parete and Legislators Donaldson, Greene, Roberts, and Ronk)
Minority Leader Ronk offers the following:
WHEREAS, County Law Section 214 requires the County Legislature to
designate newspapers for official publications; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 3 dated January 7, 2015, a Minority
of the Legislature of County of Ulster representing the Republican Party, one of the
two principal parties into which said County of Ulster is divided, designated the
Saugerties Post Star as the official Newspaper of the County of Ulster for the
publication of all local laws, notices and other matters required by law to be
published; and
WHEREAS, the Clerk of the Legislature was notified on June 3, 2015 that
publication of the Saugerties Post Star will terminate effective June 30, 2015; now
therefore be it
RESOLVED, that pursuant to Subdivision 2 of County Law Section 214, the
following newspaper is designated as the official Newspaper of the County of Ulster
by the Minority of the Legislature of the County of Ulster for the publication of all
local laws, notices and other matters required by law to be published effective July 1,
2015:

and moves its adoption.
