Chairman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Thomas J. Briggs,

and Deputy Chairman Kenneth J. Ronk offer the following:

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature adopted the 2015-2020 Capital

Program which included the purchase of Aegis Mobile software and computer

hardware to expedite the processing of mandatory paperwork when deputies are on

patrol; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Sheriff, after a thorough review, requests that

Capital Project No. 449 be established and funded in order to purchase Aegis Mobile

components; and

WHEREAS, the Aegis Mobile purchase will add the mobile version of the

New World Aegis module, which will streamline the policing process for the Ulster

County Sheriff's Office by providing fewer steps to accomplish certain functions; and

WHEREAS, the approved 2015 – 2020 Capital Improvement Program

included the purchase of the Aegis Mobile components at a cost of $294,970.00, and

needs to be increased by $18,000.00 to cover the costs associated with finalizing

installation and implementation for a 2015 project cost of $312,970.00; now,

therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the 2015 – 2020 Capital Improvement Program is hereby

amended to increase the 2015 project cost of the Purchase of Aegis Mobile to

$312,970.00; and, be it further

RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 449 - Purchase of Aegis Mobile is

hereby established in the amount of $312,970.00; and, be it further

RESOLVED, that the 2015 Ulster County Capital Project Fund is hereby

amend
