Legislators Kenneth Ronk and Craig Lopez offer the following:

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature appropriated to The Walker Valley

Chemical Engine No. 1 the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) in the 2015

Ulster County Budget to be expended for the purpose of offsetting costs associated

with purchasing heat resistant wall panels for the Walker Valley Fire District burn

tower; now therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Ulster County Commissioner of Finance is hereby

authorized and directed to pay to the The Walker Valley Chemical Engine No. 1 the

sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) to be expended towards costs associated

with purchasing heat resistant wall panels for the Walker Valley Fire District burn

tower, the only operating burn tower in Ulster County; and, be it further

RESOLVED, in order to receive such funds, The Walker Valley Chemical

Engine No. 1 must submit to the Ulster County Legislature a verified accounting of

disbursements to be undertaken; and, be it further

RESOLVED, that no County money shall be paid to The Walker Valley

Chemical Engine No. 1 until a Memorandum of Receipt, signed by the President of

the aforementioned group agreeing to comply with the terms of this Resolution is

delivered to the County Commissioner of Finance; and be it further

RESOLVED, that The Walker Valley Chemical Engine No. 1shall render a

verified account of disbursements with certified vouchers attached, and refund any

unused amount on or before the 31st day of December 2015; and be it further

RESOLVED, the Comptroller and/or any and all officers of the County of

Ulster, their agents and representatives, shall be allowed full access upon reasonable

notice and at reasonable times to the books, papers, records of The Walker Valley

Chemical Engine No. 1, during the period that this resolution is in effect for the

purpose of ascertaining the manner in which the above sum of money is being used

or applied; and, be it further

RESOLVED, that the above organization agrees to comply with all applicable

Federal, State and local regulations including, in particular, any forbidding

discrimination by such organization,
