Chairman of the Public Health and Social Services Committee, Craig V. Lopez, and Deputy Chair Peter J. Criswell offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Mental Health, and

 

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Mental Health requests that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature be authorized to execute the State Aid Funding Authorization and any future amendments thereto, for the period beginning January 1, 2020 and ending December 31, 2020, in the amount of $1,028,256.00, with the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS), and

 

WHEREAS, the State Aid funds will be used to support chemical dependency and problem gambling treatment, prevention and recovery services in Ulster County as defined in the State Aid Funding Authorization; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute the State Aid Funding Authorization with OASAS and any future amendments thereto, for the period beginning January 1, 2020 and ending December 31, 2020, in the amount of $1,028,256.00, to support chemical dependency and problem gambling treatment, prevention and recovery services in Ulster County as defined in the State Aid Funding Authorization, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,

 

and moves its adoption.
