Chairman of the Health, Human Services and Human Rights Committee, Abe Uchitelle, and Deputy Chair Craig V. Lopez offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Ulster County Department of Mental Health; and

          WHEREAS, the Ulster County Department of Mental Health has received notification from the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Support (OASAS) for increased LGU funding of $35,850 annually for two years beginning July 1, 2025, to pay for all FDA Approved formulations of naltrexone and buprenorphine (NB) used to treat incarcerated individuals with opioid use disorder in the County jail as per a New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) State Aid letter dated May 29, 2025; and 

          WHEREAS, to reflect the increased funding, an amendment of the 2025 budget is necessary; and

          WHEREAS, there is no increase in County Contribution as a result of these modifications; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the 2025 Ulster County Operating Budget is hereby amended as follows:

and moves its adoption.
