Chairman of the Legislature, David B. Donaldson, and Chairwoman of the Laws and Rules, Governmental Services Committee, Tracey A. Bartels, offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Board of Elections will incur additional expenses to protect the integrity of the election process from cybersecurity threats; and

 

WHEREAS, the New York State Board of Elections conducted a cybersecurity risk assessment of Ulster County and identified numerous areas of needed improvements; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute a grant agreement in the amount of $113,628.75, and any amendments thereto, with the NYS Board of Elections to obtain Elections Cybersecurity Remediation Grant Program funds, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature, or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,

 

and move its adoption.
