Chairman of the Economic Development and Tourism Committee, Thomas J. Briggs,

and Deputy Chairman James F. Maloney offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Department of Information Services; and

WHEREAS, in an effort to leverage buying power and reduce expenses,

Ulster County participated in the Mid-Hudson Regional Internet Bid which combined

the internet needs of six entities, including the County; and

WHEREAS, the County entered into a contract (C13-00174) for the

procurement of internet services with the Ulster County Board of Cooperative

Educational Services (BOCES) pursuant to Resolution No. 301 dated December 4,

2012; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the agreement to include additional

County locations for which BOCES will procure internet service as well as adjust the

original monthly Lightower charges billed by BOCES; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby

authorized to execute an amendment, and any future additional amendments, to

contract C13-00174 with the Ulster County Board of Cooperative Educational

Services, for the procurement of internet services, in the form as filed with the Clerk

of the Ulster County Legislature, or as modified with the approval of the County

Attorney,

and move its adoption.
